Talk to Books is a demo / experimental tool that allows users to explore ideas and discover books by getting quotes that respond to their queries. It is not a traditional search tool and it is more of a creative tool than a way to find specific answers. The tool utilizes machine learning to understand natural language and is trained on billions of lines of dialogue to teach an AI how real human conversations flow. It can respond to sentences, not just keywords, so speaking to it in sentences will often get better results.
The tool looks at every sentence in over 100,000 books to find the responses that would most likely come next in a conversation, it returns the response sentence in bold, along with some of the text that appeared next to the sentence for context. It's fun to play around with different wording to see how it changes the results.
